Today was a BEAUTIFUL fall Saturday… 60 degrees and sunny! I came home from working with my graduate students, and you were outside with Daddy raking leaves. You and Daddy also stopped by to see me at the beginning of the day and again at lunch. You melt my heart EVERY time I get to see you.
After I arrived home, we frolicked in the leaves and went for a family walk. What a wonderful time!

Guess what happened when I walked in the door from work tonight?!?! You were in your doorway jumper. You got so excited. You giggled and giggled out loud, jumping up and down, flailing your little arms, smiling as big as your little face. My heart totally melted. I am pretty sure NO ONE has EVER been so excited to see me before.
Thank you for giving me that moment to treasure for the rest of my life…

Today you are spending the day with Ms Debbie and Mr Scott. (Miss Kristin’s son Gregory is very sick.) When I dropped you off you looked so happy!! I’m so glad. I love that you have such an wonderful place to be when Ms Kristin isn’t able to take care of you. (Thank you Ms Debbie from the bottom of our hearts!)
I have no doubt they will take VERY good care of you!! I only wish that I could spend the day with you too. But I will see you soon… just a couple more hours.

Well, you haven’t exactly been your cheerful self lately. I have a theory. I expect we will all see the arrival of your first tooth VERY soon. I’m sorry you’re in a bit of pain, but you are QUITE the trooper.

Morning Peanut –
This picture is from a few weeks ago, but it captures one of your passions… You are our nature girl!! You LOVE trees and grass and being outdoors! The temperature is starting to drop a bit, so we have to bundle up a bit more but I’m guessing it won’t matter. We will still go for long walks and enjoy God’s BEAUTIFUL world!!

Hey there Peanut –
I have been thinking about writing you every day for the past few weeks, and it has been far too long since I have written you. Yesterday I had to go to work before you woke up. I stood by your crib and watched you sleep for the longest time (secretly hoping you would wake up). As I walked down the hall of my office, my heart ached! Isn’t that nuts? All because I couldn’t start my day with a hug from you!
I love you to pieces little one. I canNOT believe you are almost 7 months old already.
Do you know that I smile so much more every day because of you? (As do many, many other people) You totally rock!

Happy Birthday Little Peanut! You are 6 months old today!
And what a joy you are!
I hope you had a FABULOUS birthday! I got to spend the WHOOOLE day with you! Lucky me!! We danced this morning and giggled alot. We played for a while more before you took a short nap. When you woke up, we headed over to play group at Pamela and Berkeley’s house. Everyone was there: Joanne and Walter, Melissa and Casey and Christine and Lucas, as well as of couse, Pamela & Berkeley and us. It was pouring rain outside!!
When we came home we learned that our street and our basement had flooded! Sigh…
Today you rolled from your back to your belly for the first time ALL by yourself! And you did it many times!! You are such a STAR!! Now you roll all 360 degrees… from you back to your belly and back to your back again! And we CHEER you on!!
Grandma & Grandpa arrived from Minnesota today. They were so excited to see you! They had seen you only a couple weeks ago, but they already missed you! Grandma fed you carrots and peaches for dinner and gave you a bath. She also held you for an hour or so after you fell asleep.
We are all SOOOOOO thankful for you Little One.

Happy Birthday to you!! You are 5 months old today! Daddy got to spend the day with you because Scott came up to work me Mommy. (Though we snuck in a good walk and now we are headed to Gospel Choir practice.)
